Terms of use

These terms cover the Live Longer Pods website, Live Longer Pods, the free healthspan intake and our emails. By using any of them, you agree to these terms.

Wellness education, not medical care

Live Longer Pods provides wellness education and group activity focused on exercise, sleep, nutrition, connection and other daily habits. We do not diagnose, treat or manage any medical condition, and nothing we provide is a substitute for care from a physician or other licensed health professional. Talk to your doctor before starting a new exercise or nutrition program, especially if you have a health condition, take medication or are pregnant. In a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.

Live Longer Pods

• A Pod is a fixed group of up to 8 people that meets in person for 8 weekly sessions. The price (in Canadian dollars), schedule and location are shown once you're matched and in your match email, and you pay once, in advance, through Stripe.
• Places are confirmed in the order accepted applicants complete the health screening, waiver and payment.
• Before taking part you must complete the health screening and sign the participation waiver. If you answer yes to any screening question, you must get clearance from your doctor before the first session.
• Some sessions include optional services from independent licensed practitioners, such as the IV offered at the biohacking session by a licensed naturopathic doctor. Those services are provided by the practitioner under their own screening, consent and professional responsibility, and you may decline them and still take part in the session.
• Refunds: if you tell us before the second session that the Pod isn't for you, we refund your payment in full. After that, missed sessions are not refunded. If we cancel a Pod, we refund the sessions that did not take place.
• We may move a session indoors, change the meeting point or reschedule a session for weather, safety or holidays. We'll tell you as early as we can.
• Be respectful of the group. We may remove anyone whose behaviour puts others at risk or spoils the group for others, with a refund of the remaining sessions.
• City lists: joining a list for a city without a Pod costs nothing and does not guarantee a place when a Pod opens.

The healthspan intake

The intake gives educational estimates based on national life tables and published population research, calculated by the proprietary Live Longer Pods Healthspan Engine. It is not a prediction of your individual lifespan or health and it is not a medical test. Results describe averages for people with similar answers, and may change as the engine is updated.

Our emails

If you opt in, we email you when a Pod opens near you, plus occasional Live Longer Pods news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.

Other paid services

If we offer other paid services, their price, billing and refund terms will be shown to you before you buy, and those terms will apply to that purchase.

Our content and technology

The website, the Live Longer Pods format and materials, the Live Longer Pods Healthspan Engine and its methods, scoring and data are owned by Live Longer Pods and protected by copyright and other laws. You are welcome to share our pages and your own results for personal use. You may not copy, scrape, resell or republish our content in bulk, run the Pods format commercially without our permission, or attempt to reverse engineer, replicate or extract the Healthspan Engine or its outputs at scale.

Your responsibilities

You agree to give accurate information, to exercise within your own limits, and to stop any activity and seek medical attention if you feel pain, dizziness, chest discomfort or shortness of breath. You take part in any activity voluntarily and at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

Free services are provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Live Longer Pods is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or CA$100 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change is significant we will tell Pod members and anyone on our email list before it takes effect. The date at the top shows the latest version.
